A website should do more than look good. For Perry Venue, Moonlit Hub built one designed to actually help run the business.
When Moonlit Hub began building the new online home for Perry Venue, it became clear pretty quickly that this wasn’t going to be a simple brochure website.
Perry Venue needed a place where potential renters could discover the venue and see what it offered—but the people running the venue also needed tools that made their jobs easier.
So we built both.
Built Around the Way the Venue Works
A generic event-venue template could have provided some photographs, a contact form and a phone number.
That wasn’t enough.
Perry Venue’s website was built around its actual booking process. Visitors can explore the venue, learn about available amenities, view the calendar and submit an inquiry when they’re ready to start planning their event.
Those inquiries don’t simply disappear into an email inbox.
Moonlit Hub developed custom inquiry and booking functionality that gives Perry Venue staff a practical way to receive inquiries, manage them and turn them into bookings.
Staff can add bookings themselves, update their status and manage the venue calendar while keeping information that shouldn’t be public where it belongs—behind the scenes.
Giving the Owners Control
There’s another rule we try to follow at Moonlit Hub:
A business shouldn’t need to call its web developer every time it wants to change something on its own website.
Perry Venue’s owners and staff have tools for managing the information they actually need to manage.
That includes bookings and inquiries, but it also extends to the public side of the site. Announcements, news, photographs and other changing content can be handled without rebuilding the website every time something happens.
We even built help directly into the administrative experience, with explanations, FAQs and a searchable glossary designed for the people actually using the system.
Because a feature isn’t particularly useful if nobody knows what the button does.
Designed for the People Booking, Too
The administrative side was only half the job.
Someone considering Perry Venue might be looking at the website from a desktop computer at work, an iPad on the couch or a phone while planning an event with family.
So the experience needed to work across all of them.
The site gives potential renters a straightforward path from “What is this place?” to “Could this work for my event?” to “I’d like to ask about this date.”
Along the way, they can see venue information, amenities, photographs, upcoming activity and availability without hunting around for basic information.
One Website, Built for One Business
That’s probably the biggest difference between this project and an off-the-shelf website.
Perry Venue didn’t have to change the way it operates to fit the software.
We changed the software to fit Perry Venue.
