Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy applies to paid Moonlit Hub projects unless a specific written project agreement states otherwise.
Before Work Begins
For projects over $250, a client may cancel within three business days after the initial 42% payment if substantive work has not begun.
After Work Has Begun
Once substantive work begins, Moonlit may retain payment for time already worked, approved expenses, and nonrecoverable project costs. Any remaining refundable amount is returned to the client. Moonlit does not charge for work that was not performed merely because a project was cancelled.
Projects $250 or Less
Small projects are paid 100% upfront. If a project is cancelled, the refundable amount, if any, depends on work already completed and any approved or nonrecoverable costs.
Client Inactivity / Abandonment
If Moonlit is waiting for required client materials, feedback, access, or approval for 42 consecutive days, the project may be classified as inactive or abandoned. Moonlit will not be expected to hold the original production schedule indefinitely.
If Moonlit Hub Cancels
If Moonlit Hub cancels a project, the client will be refunded for uncompleted work and will receive completed work that has been paid for, to the extent it can reasonably be delivered.
Third-Party Costs
Approved third-party purchases, licenses, registrations, subscriptions, transaction charges, or other nonrecoverable outside costs are not refundable by Moonlit when the third party does not refund them.
Final Approval & Delivery
For projects over $250, the final 58% is due after final recorded approval and before launch or final delivery.
